Lovely apartment in a lovely complex

What a lovely apartment! It is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Tivoli marina but to stay privately saved us so much money. There were 4 of us, 3 sisters and a mother and we had everything we could need. I thought the put up beds might be a nightmare but once we got ourselves organised we managed fine - some bigger pillows might be more comfortable though. The washer was a boon and the bathroom was lovely. The decor was also very nice. The piece de resistance was the enormous roof terrace - what a treat. It got really hot up there sometimes but it was hitting 30 degrees when we were there.
Even though we weren't "Tivoli" customers as such they had no problems in ordering us a taxi from reception twice maybe 3 times a day and we also used the hotel computers for free without any objection.
The pool area and all the pool furniture really is a dream. Our photo's are magnificent and the envy of all our friends.
We didn't have a car but the taxi's are so reasonable we went up to Praia do Rocha every night for just over 4 euro's, Portimao for 5 euros, Ferraguda for 10 euros and Alvor for 9 euros. Between 4 of us this was peanuts and a boon in the intense heat. The food and drink is so reasonable in this part of the Algarve that it ended up being one of the cheapest holidays we have ever had - and yet still so swish!
It is also on the flat and you can walk around the marina and along the beach and down the pier to the lighthouse without having to go up any steps at all which is great if you have older people in your group.
I would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you Sandra and Simao.
