COMFORTABLE, MODERN APARTMENTS AT THE EXCLUSIVE 'MARINA DE LAGOS'

My wife and I spent a very good week in February 2010 in this recommended apartment, which is ideally situated on the lovely marina complex. This modern and well-equipped apartment is very clean and spacious for two people and has a wonderful view of the marina and beyond from the balcony. Close by are a good selection of friendly bars, cafés and restaurants which serve both English and Portugues dishes. We would particularly recommend the Oasis café for good value meals (especially their breakfasts!). Don't, however, miss out on the old town of Lagos, a short walk over a bridge, where there are some equally delightful eating places in the more traditional style. A good example of this is the Arcos restaurant on Rue 25 Abril where the seafood is excellent!
For a day out we would recommend visiting the fort at Sagres which was the at the western limit of civilisation only 600 years ago. The views of the massive waves smashing into the high cliffs are very special as are the extreme fishermen who sit on the edge of them!
