cant praise Casa Iona highly enough

staying here was a truly lovely experience, from the warm welcome and excellent service provided by the managers, to the great location and first class facilities within the villa and complex.
Set in a quiet location, the villa is only a short walk or drive to the gorgeous little beach with its coves and rock formations to explore, sandy beach to enjoy and bustling little quayside with the daily market, restaurants and quiet bars. if you are looking for value for money and dont want a benidorm package experience then this is a genuine find, we loved our stay at Casa Iona and didnt want to come home!!
tips:
1. hire a car - whilst the beach is walkable, it is a steep walk back and there are also some great locations to explore around (the bone chapel at Alcantarilha was a fun, if a little bizarre, visit!!)
2, explore the cliffs and caves to the east of the beach, it costs nothing and we were there pretty much all day, the views and the rocks and caves are breathtaking.
3, eat sardines on the seafront. about 6 euros each and as the sun is setting on the sea you will enjoy one of lifes great meals.
thats about it, a fantastic place to visit and far better value for money than many holidays of a similar price.
