High Spec - Private - Games Room - Sleep 12/16 Beautifully Furnished

This lovely villa is set in a large enclosed garden and is approached by a long drive, lined on either side by immaculate, landscaped gardens. Two large stone lions guard the front door which in turn leads to a spacious entrance hall. The living/dining room has comfortable sofas around two unusual glass coffee tables and the large glass dining table seats ten. Several sets of sliding doors lead to a shaded outside dining terrace with comfortable seating and an enormous table and steps down to the swimming pool and garden. The modern kitchen is very well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, central cooking island and a separate laundry area. The basement has been converted into a huge games/chill out room with numerous squishy leather sofas, table football, pool table and table tennis. The unusual swimming pool is surrounded by lawn, it has a separate children’s section and LED lighting which is remote controlled and has various settings providing a variety of colours.

I am very pleased to advise that in co-operation with our Villa Manager we have engaged the services of a Chef and have now introduced a range of very special Villa Catering Services for you and your Party. Each Menu option has been specially designed at competitive prices so that you and your Party are free to relax and enjoy your stay at our Villa and your Holiday in the Algarve. Not only do we organise everything for you at a pre agreed time and price, we also return at an agreed time to clear everything away.

If our Catering Service is of interest, please request an example Menu option for Breakfast and let me know if you would like further information on the full variety of Catering Services we can offer you should you decide to make a reservation.

The number of persons you wish to have catered for is entirely a decision for you, as is the frequency and catering type such as BREAKFAST - LUNCH or a BBQ.

Location: Miles of gorgeous, golden, sandy beaches, calm clear waters and bays interspersed with rugged cliffs and enchanting grottoes; the Algarve is amongst the top European holiday destinations. The South of Portugal was the last place to gain independence from the Moors in 1292, conquered by the King Dom Afonso III and even today traces of the Moorish presence are visible in the unique terraces, chimneys and whitewashed villas. Despite the obvious influence of tourism, a short drive inland reveals the true Algarve where life goes on much as it has for many centuries. This brightly coloured region with orange groves, almond trees in blossom and fragrant pines is also the most verdant and fertile. Sports enthusiasts will find ideal conditions and top class facilities; the golf courses and tennis establishments have a highly prized reputation. Above all, the Algarve is a children's haven; several exciting water parks, surfing in Praia da Luz, horse riding near Lagos.

Notes: There are plenty of loungers and the willow and palm trees provide natural shade in addition to the sun umbrellas. Villa Grande is close to the lovely village of Porches which is best known for its traditional pottery. There are several good restaurants and bars and both Armaçao de Pera (with a variety of water sports, a vast sandy beach, good shops and excellent fish and seafood restaurants) and Carvoeiro are just a short drive. Early booking is recommended.

Myself and a group of friends stayed at the wonderful VILLA GRANDE DO SOL in March 2013. We chose the villa for location, its size and style, barbecue as well as the pool area. The villa is a true 5 star and wow's you from the start. I would visit here again and have recommended it to friends.

A Five Star Top Quality Villa

The design of the villa is superb and caters excellently for large groups. It is fitted out with quality furniture and is well equipped with everything you would expect to find in your own home and probably more. In-door and particularly out-door dining is a luxury and the out-door veranda is a very peaceful place to spend a few hours reading a book or browsing with an iPad.

We had lots of fun in the pool and having BBQ's and with Porches only a couple of minutes walk away restaurants were in easy reach. The villa was kept very clean by a hard working local lady who was able to answer the few questions we had.

A high boundary hedge provides privacy and security for adventurous youngsters and is supplemented by key controlled entry gates.

Thank you Alfred - we had a wonderful holiday and would quite happily recommend Villa Grande to others.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

porches-villa, highly recommended

we went 13 adults to this villa as part of a recurring group trip, and this was the best house we stayed at so far. we all slept comfortably, ate together at the large outdoors dining place and had plenty of room to watch all the games of the ongoing football world cup.

the facilities were just as described or better and the villa was thoroughly cleaned a couple of times during our stay. our villa manager was very helpful and available to answer all our questions.

the location is quite but very accessible by car with very pleasant surroundings and the village of porches 3 minutes away.
don't miss out on the water-parks located nearby, slide'n'splash is highly recommended as is this villa.
