The weather in Nicaragua is warm all year round with average high temperatures ranging from 25 degrees centigrade in January and December to 29 degrees in April and May. March and April is generally the driest time of the year, while an average of 800mm rainfall can be experienced in some parts of the country in July.
Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) is the main airport in Managua, Nicaragua. It has direct flights from some U.S airports including Atlanta (ATL), Houston (IAH) and Miami (MIA). Visitors from other countries can go to Miami International Airport (MIA) before getting a connecting flight to Nicaragua. There are flights to Miami from Frankfurt (FRA), London-Heathrow (LHW), Madrid (MAD), Munich (MUC), Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Zurich (ZRH) amongst other cities. When in Nicaragua, visitors can hire taxis from the airport and there are car rental firms also available.
