Villa with private pool and spectacular views

The villa has spectacular views being set on the hillside overlooking the sea. There are steps down to the villa through well maintained pretty gardens and you feel quite secluded and private. It was very quiet in May with no noise from neighbouring villas and we really enjoyed the peaceful setting. The west facing position means you can sit and watch the amazing sunsets from the terrace, and as the pool and garden are lit in the evening, you can sit out quite late.
We found the villa spotlessly clean and well equipped for 6.The kitchen has everything you need to self-cater. There were spare blankets and pillows and enough towels for the week. All of the rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable. The bathrooms are large and well appointed and we had plenty of hot water (although running other taps or flushing seemed to affect the temperature).
As the evenings were chilly we sat in the lounge area where there is room for 4 to sit comfortably on sofas. We made use of the DVD player as the only TV channels available were news. There is a folding table and chairs inside but not much room to use it. However, there is plenty of room outside with table and seating for 6 on a large decked area. The poolside area is also generous with plenty of room for 6 sun loungers and two parasols. The pool itself is large enough for a gentle swim and was lovely and clean (just need to skim off the flies each morning!) and although fairly cool we still used it most days as we had plenty of sunshine.
As we were out of season a lot of the complex facilities including the nearest supermarket (10 minute walk) were closed but the main shops on the complex were open ( a good 20 minutes walk) and had everything we needed including daily deliveries of fresh bread. The nearest beach is a 4km drive through the complex then a 10 minute walk along the coastline. It is a shingle/sand beach in a small bay with gently sloping water and some rocks. It was deserted when we were there and definitely worth a visit, although no facilities on the beach itself. Nicki the owner was extremely helpful answering my email queries before our visit which was very much appreciated.
The only negative is the villa is very isolated (which is part of it’s appeal) so you can’t just pop out for a quick visit anywhere. Also, there is a villa next door which looks out right over the pool. Luckily it was empty when we were there, otherwise there would have been little privacy on the terrace/by the pool.
