Palazzo Rosso, highlight of the Venetian villas

Palazzo Rosso proved an ideal choice for the 10-day tour of Palladian villas we had come for. By the time a week had gone by, we realized there were plenty of other things to do in the area: take the bicycle path to Vicenza or discover the backroads (hardly any traffic if you keep off the main road), hike in the Berici Hills ( we tried one tour guided by an Italian guide book we found in the apartment, half guessing what important trail marks the Italian words meant- but we made it!) Coming back from our tours in the evening, it was nice to take a dip in the pool and relax under the arcades, chatting with other guests staying at Palazzo Rosso. Phil and Silvy were always bustling about somewhere and willing to answer our questions. Thankyou for the fresh eggs ( if you boil them, the yolks separate to form little yellow balls- weird!) We admired the tremendous task Phil and Silvy completed in transforming the palazzo wing into apartments that combine traditional masonry and woodwork with modern furnishing. A truly pleasant place to spend a vacation. Recommendable for all kinds of people looking for a holiday home in the area.

Owner's Response: We are always happy that our guests enjoy there time here on the farm. Cornelia and family brought their own bikes with them (although we have bikes available for our guests to use) and spent most of their time off the beaten track, which is one of the best pastimes.
Ciao
Phil and Silvy
