Built in traditional style with high beamed ceilings, this attractive apartment built six years ago is set in pretty Mediterranean gardens, in a quiet location on a hill in Pittulongu. The large covered terrace offers uninterrupted views across the bay to Isola Tavolara and Golfo di Olbia. Use of communal pool (May 29th to September 18th) with terrace and good sea views. Local sandy beach 10 minute walk, many more beaches within easy driving distance . Perfect location for exploring the north east coast and the interior of the island. Excellent for both a romantic break for two, or for a family holiday. Ideal summer holiday rental or throughout the year. Olbia is only 10 minutes away, and the airport 15 minutes

The apartment is purely used for rental, so no owners belongings, and 'for peace of mind', we have a local English lady managing the apartment..

Welcome pack of wine, water, milk, tea and coffee.

Exclusive use of a 41ft Catamaran and a 51ft Beneteau, both are child friendly,with English speaking skippers. Affordable daily rates. Option for longer charters.

Nearest shop 10 minutes walk: There are also two well stocked local supermarkets, one within walking distance, along with a fish shop at the bottom of the road. Locally there is also a pharmacy, a bread shop, and several pizza take aways. Larger supermarkets can be found in Olbia, along with a twice weekly street market, and many shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs. In August there is also a lively night market in the main street. Olbia also has several large banks and a Hospital. There is a large swimming pool complex 8km away with three Olympic size swimming pools, a health spa and tennis complex - open all year.

The designer shops of the Costa Smerald are a short drive away.

Golf at Pevero Golf Club: The world renowned Pevero Golf club is only 30 minutes away. The club is one of the most beautiful and exclusive clubs in the world.

Bars and restaurants : Pittulongu has various good quality restaurants and bars, the closest a 2 minute walk away, there are several right on the beach within walking distance. Most beaches have bars in season.

Close by Olbia has a wide selection of bars, restaraunts and night clubs.

The facilities on the nearby Costa Smeralda are world renown.

We are a family of 4, we first visited the island when our children were young, (they are now teenagers) and have seen them grow up enjoying the freedom and safety of this beautiful island - there is something for everyone! As with all our guests we work very hard and are restricted to definitive holiday periods, so we try and make everyday count for our guests by sharing the knowledge that we have built up over the last 8 years. We try and make the whole holiday decision making and booking as easy and painless as possible. So from the moment someone chooses to holiday in our property the fun starts! Why Ann Marie Reohorn chose Pittulongu

After spending two great holidays on the island we succumbed to 'Sardiniaitis', and had to buy our own property to be able to go and escape as often as possible and at any time of the year. We choose this area specifically as we fell in love with the North East coast, but wanted to be close to the airport (only 15 minutes) and to the year round facilities of Olbia. Our village, Pittulongu is in a fantastic area with great beaches, and amenities. We actually bought our own property 2 years earlier, falling in love with not only the quiet location, the wonderful view, but also the pretty architecture of the apartment with its traditional features such as the high limed oak ceilings. We then got the opportunity to buy this apartment which is used purely for rental, so no owners possessions cluttering it up. This enables our guests to treat the property as if it is their 'own bolt hole'.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is conveniently located close to Olbia and its airport, so transfer time is only 15 minutes. Locally we have restaurants, bars and shops that remain open all year round - very important. We are situated in one of the prettiest and unspoilt areas of the island, yet it has the unique benefit of having access to amazing beaches, unspoilt countryside and the glamour of the Costa Smeralda. This property is not used by the family, it is specifically for rental, so is uncluttered, but well appointed . The property reflects our personal experience of what we would like to have available to us on our holiday. Yes, it is a view that 'takes your breath away'.

Situated on the attractive North East Coast. The apartment is a perfect location for exploring the many stunning beaches of the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo. The nearest beach is just a 10 minute walk, there are 6 more beaches within a 10 minute drive. The sea is crystal clear, and all the beaches have clean white sand. Most have lounger, windsurf and pedalo hire, and beach bars in season. The sea is warm from May to November.

The apartment is also well located for exploring the interior of the island, the artist village of San Panteleo, the mountains and the many archeological remains.

Olbia is a lively city with many facilities. Nearby is a large swimming pool complex with three olympic size swimming pools, health spa and tennis courts - open all year.

Rome is 20 minutes by plane. Ferries from Olbia take you to various major sea ports on mainland Italy. Corsica can be reached by ferry from nearby Golfo Aranci.

There is also a water park nearby in Baia Sardinia.

Lovely apartment with a stunning view

We all had a lovely holiday, one of very few where we didn't want to go home.

The information pack provided in the apartment was very good, we'd never been to Sardinia before so it was great to have other people's opinions on which beaches are good and where to eat. We really liked Cala Sassari, although the road down to it was a bit tricky to navigate!

We both found the bed comfy and it was nice to have a proper double bed rather than two twins pushed together that we normally get in hotels. The washing machine was very useful, especially with a toddler and there was plenty of drying space and clothes pegs provided.

We liked the fact that there were plenty of kitchen utensils (even a garlic crusher!) and the cool box and freezer blocks were very useful - we used them many times, saving us uprooting from the beach each day for lunch which was very handy with a toddler. Our little boy loved playing with the bucket and spade, which was also a nice touch.

Overall the apartment was lovely, exactly as described and the view from the balcony was simply amazing! We really enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to return to this apartment in the future.
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We would love to return next summer

We had a lovely time in Sardinia. It could not have been better. Your apartment was excellent with outstanding views out over the sea. The weather was perfect and we spent all our time on various beaches and snorkelling. Margaret was very helpful (only had to contact her about aircon on the first morning and where to leave keys on the last day). Everything went very smoothly. The island is so unspoilt – long may it last.
We had a great day with Jerry – he is a quite a character and very entertaining. The boys loved diving off the cat and snorkelling under it! Unfortunately there was not too much wind that day and the motor got used quite a bit.
We would love to return next summer

Thanks, we had a great time. The apartment was lovely - the view from the balcony was superb! We will def be back at some point, and have already recommended it to friends.
The things that helped our stay were :
1. The v helpful folder of info - we spent a fair amount of time at Mama Beach (restaurant) as a result !
2. The games for the kids
3. The kettle (how English is that ?!!)
4. Good quality sheets
5. The balcony - best part of the apartment!
6. Lovely cool colourscheme in the apartment.

Thank you for helping us have a wonderful honeymoon. All your recommendations were spot on. La Squalo ended up being our own favourite but enjoyed every meal, every espresso, every day at mama beach and of course many a night having a glass of wine in your wonderful garden.
The apartment is finished to perfection. We think you have great taste and will be planning a return trip to relive some of the memories.

The apartment was one of the best if not the best

We had a wonderful time thanks.
I shed a little tear as we had to leave the beautiful balcony and amazing view for the last time.
The apartment was one of the best if not the best we have stayed in - the kids loved it. I cooked in more than I expected as the good facilities in the kitchen, the Auchan and the balcony made it better than eating out!
The beach chairs and bats and balls etc in the apartment were a nice touch - we used them all.
The washing machine came in really handy and meant having the treat of clean beach towels midweek.
The brochure you put together was helpful and we read it though a few times to see your recommendations - another nice touch.
We hired a car and went to the waterpark on the last day - which the kids really enjoyed.
We found your representative friendly and though we didn't need to contact her while we were there, felt comfort in knowing she was there if we needed to speak to someone who spoke English.
Thanks again and we will be sure to recommend your apartment to people we know.
