Chianni is one of the many hill top villages on the rolling hills around the Etruscan town of Volterra, in the Chianti area of Pisa province.
The local area is famouns not only for the Chianti wine and olive oil production but also for historical towns to visit, such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, which are all within 1 hours drive away.
There are also many local villages including Chianni which are well worth it exploring as they all have their individual charm. The Hills of Pisa are also worldwide known for their natural spa centres like Casciana Terme, 10 minutes away from Chianni.
Chianni is also only 30 minutes drive away from the nearest beach, even a day trip to the island of Elba is also possible.
