This elegant 18th century stone farmhouse is situated on 2,5 hectares of land with swimming pool and badminton / volleyball court overlooking Chianti hills and the ancient town of Volterra.

The house has been completely restored to high standard.

The property is also suitable for weddings, special events or private parties, all organised by the owner.

THE HOUSE: The original stone farmhouse dates back to 18th century when it was part of a large estate run by a local noble family. Over the years the property has been restored. using only materials from the area, although the stunning views of the rolling Tuscan hills with Volterra dominating them have not changed for centuries. The property is situated 1 km away from the village of Chianni, at 350mt asl, along an unmade up road which goes through vineyards and olive groves and used mainly by farmers.

GARDEN AND POOL: There are 2 separate footpaths leading to the large swimming pool (8 x 16 mt -- 120cm shallow part) and to the badmington pitch. The property includes 2 hectares of field and woods where you can find wild orchids and deer.

SURROUNDING AREA: In the village of Chianni you can find all your shopping needs.

Florence, Siena, San Gimignano are within 1 hour drive away, although the local area is very interesting to visit too.

In Volterra, Etruscan capital, Roman centre and an important medieval city, you can visit the many museums or just enjoy the local craftsmanship of alabaster. The spa town of Casciana Terme is only 15 minutes away where you can enjoy beauty treatment and natural hot springs. Hot springs are common in the area. Infact, half an hour drive away, in the town of Larderello, there is the largest natural geo-thermic energy producing power station in Europe with its own museum.

Chianni is one of the many hill top villages on the rolling hills around the Etruscan town of Volterra, in the Chianti area of Pisa province.

The local area is famouns not only for the Chianti wine and olive oil production but also for historical towns to visit, such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, which are all within 1 hours drive away.

There are also many local villages including Chianni which are well worth it exploring as they all have their individual charm. The Hills of Pisa are also worldwide known for their natural spa centres like Casciana Terme, 10 minutes away from Chianni.

Chianni is also only 30 minutes drive away from the nearest beach, even a day trip to the island of Elba is also possible.

Although being a small village, you can dine out in 5 different restaurants and you can find post offices, bank and a variety of interesting village shops.

We spent one week at this wonderful villa with our family.
The house is well equipped and very spacious, the garden and the views are absolutely stunning, the garden is well kept and the pool is big enough for 30 people.
We hope to come back sometime in the future.

We, a group of six adults and a baby spent a week in May in the charming villa La Quercia, which was a perfect choice for us. The villa is well equipped and there is a big, lovely garden with a huge pool suitable for Olympic swimmers. We were happy about the quiet location and the view from the house was something you do not forget. The owners were friendly and helpful and made our stay comfortable.
The surrounding little old towns and villages are worth a visit. Highly recommend to choose this villa and a visit in spring when the weather is already warm and the nature at its best.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
