Beautiful and Reasonably Priced Accomodation

We have been travelling to Tuscany for many years for the month of May and occaisionally also in the autumn. We found Le Maribelle on the internet and only hoped it would be like the photos. We were very pleased to find that the photos do not do it justice. The apartment is beautifully located in a tiny medieval town with views over the surrounding countryside. The kitchen is large and well equiped, the bed large and comfortable, the bath is modern and charming and, it has a sizeable private terrace for dining, reading, or just 'being.' It is very clean and well maintained. This apartment has afforded us the opportunity to 'live' in Tuscany for a month each year, to take full advantage of the wonderful town markets and the foodstuff available in them, and to visit the many hilltowns in the region. The Val d'Orcia is Tuscany at its most beautiful and most pure. The owners are friendly and accomodating, knowledgeable of the tourist offerings nearby, and can arrange wine tours as well as recommend restaurants. The town itself has a small alimentari, two exceptional trattorie, a few shops, an interesting history, and friendly residents. It is close to the famous spa town of Bagno Vignoni, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, Siena, and an hour from Florence. The area is great for long walks and hikes.
