Bedogno is a small medieval Hamlet close to Villa Minozzo. Set in the Gigante National park which is part of the larger Tuscan-Emilia National park the area is wonderful for walking, cycling, climbing and lots of other outdoor activities, including skiing/walking in the winter. There is also horse riding less than a kilometer away. Birdwatchers and animal lovers will delight in the rich and varied wild life. There are local pools to cool off in too.
We are an hour from the cities of Parma, & Reggio Emillia and you can go to Florence or Bologna for a day trip. The Ferrari, Ducati and Lamborghini factories are also worth visiting if you are interested in cars and motorbikes.
Historically there are the many castles of Matilda to explore and ancient fountains. Emilia Romagna boasts the gastronomic capital of Italy so you will love to sample the famous Parmesan cheeses, parma hams, wines, truffles and many other delicacies of the area.

There are 2 golf courses within 1 drive from here
Ski: The main ski resort of Febbio is only 15 minutes away. Recently (March 2010) Guilliano Razzolo, a local boy, returned from the Winter Olympics in Vancouver with a gold medal for downhill slalom. The Febbio resort is extremely well designed with a good beginners' slope at the base, near shops and cafes and with a moving escalator and snow machine. Then there are chair lifts. There are over 20km of pisted slopes with a good variety of grades of slopes from the beginner to experienced skier. There is also a snowboard park.
There are also many off piste routes as the locals take the chair lift up and ski/board down the walking routes of the summer.
There are also quite a few ski/board hire shops and you can also try Nordic or cross country skiing or snowshoeing. It is not a busy or crowded resort, in fact it is very quiet. It is really a wonderful big playground in the winter!
