Cottage Cara's Cottage: 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4

Had an amazing time in Kinsale and at Cara and Marian's cottage - so pretty and comfortable! Only wish we had more time to spend there, so many things to do in this wonderful Irish town...

Cara's cottage is so handy to go into town, great places to eat and pubs. Close to walking the Scilly walk or venturing out into the countryside. Don't need a car! Bus service to Cork is handy. We had a lovely time.

We have stayed in Sam`s studio twice now, and intend to make a third visit next year. The accommodation is very clean and modern and the setting in the grounds of Scilly house is fantastic. The view from the sitting area across the harbour is so beautiful whether the sun is shining or not. Waking up in the morning looking out to the best view in the world is a pleasure that everyone should experience. The journey from Cork Airport is a doddle at only 20 mins (by hire car). Kinsale itself is a lovely little town with fine shops and restaurants, but it has been changing over the past few years for the worse. The village of Scilly, which is were the Studio is located has several restaurants and bars which are all highly recommended and all within an easy stagger home after a few pints of Guinness. The local pub "The Spaniard" extends a warm welcome with cosy open fire places and regular live music. We spent a few hours in there one lunch time after being caught out in a rain shower, we were in a group of six adults but no one cared that all of our coats and boots were in front of the fire. The attached Restaurant is one NOT to be ignored, the food is of some of the finest that I have tasted in Ireland.
We also rented Cara`s Cottage for another couple in our group. The cottage was very clean with all the facilities that you would need for a comfortable break away. The owner (Mark) has made sure that which ever of his four properties you rent, you will not be disappointed. We have stayed in January and March and although you can`t be sure of the best weather in the world you will most certainly receive one of the best welcomes. Make sure that you take every opportunity to get out and walk, it`s well worth the effort. We will be going back next year and taking more friends with us, just so that they can experience how beautiful it is.
