Part of a small exclusive development this rustic modern house is provided to cater for every need and convenience of the discerning holidaymaker. The property is open plan with classic wooden beams featuring throughout. There is an abundance of space with a sunroom opening out onto a patio with landscaped gardens.

Architect designed with full interior package, Devi electric under floor heating system, fully equipped utility room, traditional country styled designed kitchen containing all Bosch electrical appliances.

A spacious lounge with a large open slate fireplace and adjoining sunroom gives a homely and warm ambiance to the house. Nearest traditional Irish Pub (regular music/entertainment) is only 200 meters from the house 5 minutes walk. Center of village, all restaurants, pubs, shops, cafes etc less than 10 minutes walk 700 meters.

***This property holds 'Failte Ireland' Tourism Development Authority Top Star Rating, it has been inspected and approved 2012.***

Beaches and Scenery: There are several European 'Blue Flag' beaches within easy reach and Waterville beach is within one kilometer (1/2 a mile) from the house. The unspoilt rural Irish countryside is just outside the front door.

The world heritage site 'The Skelligs Rock' with its ancient monastic settlement, is only a few miles off shore and is easily accessable with one of the many day trip local boat operators.

Astronomy: One Meade ETX-70AT Computerised Telescope, High resolution optics, adjustable tripod, Autostar- automatic celestial navigation and comprehensive operating instructions.

Hillwalking, Horse Riding and Watersports: Many local walks including the 'Kerry Way' are within easy access.

There is an nearby equestrian center about 2 miles away with a full itennary available of lessons and local riding treks.

Water sports are in abundance with local water sport adventure centers in Valentia, Ballinskelligs and Derrynane.

The Perfect Base to Explore Southwestern Ireland

Mary's Waterville home was absolute perfection - a perfect mix of modern amenities and Irish charm.

The location - walking distance to town and the waterfront - was lovely and its location in the middle of the Ring of Kerry made every drive magnificent. The home itself was cozy and totally comfortable. We were a family of four and had space to spread out, or come together. We did quite a bit of cooking in the very well equipped kitchen, grilled local lamb on the outdoor grill and enjoyed the washer and dryer to keep us looking tip top. The beds were fantastic and the under floor heating was welcome on cold mornings. Everything was included - from dishwasher soap to laundry detergent. The Wifi was super fast and the fireplace included both logs and peat. We have rented a number of properties in Europe and this was definitely the best appointed home. We plan to return to Ireland in a couple years and will definitely take this house again.

Icing on the cake is Mary O'Shea - her knowledge of the area from grocery stores to sightseeing ideas and restaurants (don't miss eating at The Point) was so helpful in making us feel like we were really experiencing Ireland, not just looking at it from a car window. And her scones were certainly the icing on the cake!

It was our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to celebrate it with family in Ireland. There were 7 of us which included 2 grandchildren, 2 1/2 and 5 1/2.

We wanted a location that "had it all" and Waterville and Ring of Kerry provided the "all" that we were looking for from golf to beach, sights to folk villages and farms, white-knuckle rides to Mt. Skellig for UNESCO Heritage Site, pubs and restaurants.

The layout made it comfortable for all of us to gather for food and fun family time - yet also to find our own corner for quiet and privacy.

I loved the photo in HomeAway and it did not disappoint. There was a casual elegance and charm with a beautiful simplicity that was very restful thru-out.

Our host, Mary, had seen to every detail and need and if that wasn't enough, she was there to help us with any questions. She provided suggestions from where to eat to finding us a baby-sitter for the children - who just happened to be an Irish dancer and, to the kids delight, taught them some steps.

Functionally it all worked like a charm. The kitchen was very well provided, the utility room had washer and dryer essential with small children. The high-speed internet access was a necessity for our sons to stay in touch with work.

The fireplace, outdoor area for throwing a baseball, games, outdoor patio area, warm floors, skylights, family sized dining area. What more could one ask for. And on top of all that she had a wonderful library of books by Irish authors, painters, poets plus a folder of 101 (at least) things to do and sights to see.

Thank you Mary from all of us for a wondrous 10 days enjoying delightful Ireland in the Ring of Kerry and your gracious hospitality. It will be an unforgettable memory.

What a great Place! My business partner and I booked the house to get a detailed writing project finished. We got the peace and quiet we needed to do so and had access to the high speed wireless internet in the house to connect to our work servers and get email etc. Not only did we get our work done but managed to have a break away too.
The house it's self is finished to a very high standard; Lovely and warm with under floor heating and a nice fireplace. The kitchen is very well kitted out as is the rest of the house. It really is a lovely bright house with plenty of space and a big garden. There are plenty baths and showers and generous space in each room.
It's close to a great Pub/Restaurant (a 2 minute walk), 5 minutes more to the sea and Waterville Village and a few more to the lake. The area is stunning, plenty of sandy beaches, walks, fishing, golfing, nice drives, art centres, eco centres, adventure centres and well you get the idea, lots to do!
I’m so impressed I am planning a trip back later in the year but with the family this time!
