Baden-Wurttemberg is one of 16 German states, located in the southwest corner of Germany. The huge Lake Constance is also a haven for water sports.
The Swabian Jura is a stunning area of German highlands. The incredible South German Escarpments must be seen to be believed, and have some of the best hiking trails in southern Germany.
The largest airport in Baden-Wurttemberg is Stuttgart (STR), which is exceedingly well connected to the UK by British Airways and Flybe. A hire car is not essential by any means in Baden-Wurttemberg, but if you would like to really explore, a hire car is an excellent choice.
