The house is light and airy and set in an idyllic setting on the river L'isle. With spacious rooms and easy to look after furnishings, making it easy for you to relax. Ideal for a family holiday with fully equipped kitchen and laundry. The exceptional covered terrace, which runs the full length of the house is ideal for outdoor dining and barbecues, playing table tennis or just enjoying the view. A private salt water heated swimming pool (10x5 mts and 1.5mts deep)is situated just off the terrace, surrounded by wood decking and luscious planting. A wall surrounds the pool making it secure when its not in use. There is rich planting down to the garden and river(unfenced), where there are two 2-man canoes
available with life jackets (2 adult & 2children sizes), so you can explore the river L'isle.
The houes is a perfect setting for a special family celebration.
We occupy a adjoining house and garden separated from the main house , I am on hand should you require anything.

Annual Events in and around Libounre & Bordeaux: April-May:
The annual spring antiques market held in the historic Place des Quinccones, in the center of Bordeaux. It's a must for antiques lovers with stalls for everyone, from homeware to food and plants and is a great day out in an idyllic setting.
JUNE 2012
Fete le Vin Bordeaux: Takes place every 2nd year and is on this year 2012 from the 28th to 30th june.this is one of the worlds biggest wine festivals with activitys such as concerts, wine tastings, chateaux trips and fireworks.a Fantastic weekend for all wine lovers.
July-August:
Battle of Castillion: Every year 800 volunteers re-enact the last battle of the Hundred Years War in the grounds set near the original battle field. This is a spectacular evening to be seen and shared with all the family.
Fest d'art is held in the streets of Libourne, a host of street entertainers for all ages , with a program you will find yourself strolling from one street to another in a tide of jugglers, comics, clowns, trapese artists and face painters.
Autumn Events: September-October:
Bordeaux has some beautifull historic architecture which lies behind closed doors of some of its govement building or private chateaux, but for one weekend they open their doors for all to visit.
Ban Des Vendanges the most improtant time of the year for this rich and varied region, the start of the grape harvest is celebrated by a procession of officials in their red robes through the medival streets of St Emilion where 25000 people listen to the story of how it all started with a sound and light show projected onto the Kings Tower the announcement is then followed by a spectacular fire work display well worth a vist but get there early!!
This is a time for wine lovers to discover the region without the heat of the summer and to see how the humble grape is turned into a noble and majestic glass of wine.

From April to June the average temparture gose from 7° to 20°. June is the best time for the garden with loverly warm mornings of 15° to hot sunny afternoons 25° , July and August ,the heat of summer, tempratures ranging from 15°+ to 30/35°
September brings in the cooler mornings with afternoons hot and bright 12° to 23°+.
October the autumn shades start coming through, activety starts in the vine yards this is a great time of year for off pick sight seeing and warm sunny days 8° to 20°.
