Romantic Penthouse Apartment 11th arr between Bastille and Republic...

This penthouse apartment met and exceeded our expectations. Very conveniently located just off Rue Oberkampf with markets, bakeries, and even a twice weekly farmer's market within minutes walking distance. Metro stations are also close, although we mostly walked to the city center and other sites. It was great to have a real eat-in kitchen with four burner stove since we did cook some dinners in. Good size living space with floor to ceiling windows which, when open, provide a great cross breeze. Comfortable bed up a steep set of stairs to the loft was very cozy and great to have a skylight right over the bed. The building is quiet and even though some street noise from the restaurants nearby, with the windows closed almost all noise was muffled. Communicating with the owner was very pleasant and hassle free. The apartment was clean upon our arrival and everything was as advertised and appreciated the ceiling fan. Yes, it's up five flights of stairs but worth it! So nice to be on the top floor and look out over the Parisian rooftops. Highly recommend staying here!!

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming appartment which is away from the tourist areas but well placed for jumping on the metro to get into the centre. The big windows give a light and airy feel and we loved watching the world go by from a comfy armchair.The full size bath and plenty of hot water were much appreciated at the end of a tiring day. There are plenty of interesting shops locally and we arrived to find ourselves in the centre of a thriving Sunday flea market. We very much hope to return...

This is an all-star. Great location, close to the subway, all of the food shops you could hope for at the doorstep. The apartment is charming, clean comfortable, with all the proper gadgets and has a great panorama of the street below. The steps up to the apartment justify that extra piece of cheese and glass of wine. We definitely look forward to coming back soon.
