Summer temperatures are mild, perfect for enjoying the great scenery, walking and mountain biking available from the ski chalets and self catering accommodation of Val d'Isere, Tignes and St Foy. Winters are cold, with averages dropping to 0°C, due to the altitude.
There are three airports in the area surrounding Val d'Isere, Tignes and St Foy holiday rentals. Chambery (CMF), Lyon (LYN) and Geneva (GVA) Airports are all around 3 hours drive from the ski resorts, but there are transfers and busses available.
