LA FERME DU CHATEAU is situated in the small village of aumeville-Lestre which is part of the Regional Park, a preserved and natural environment, at 800 meters form the sea.
Surrounded by fields (organic) and marshes it is home to a rich wildlife and offers a good opportunity to spent quality time in this part of Normandy.
A nature trail through the marshes and to the beach starts at the gate of the property.
Close the harbour of SAINT-VAAST-LA-HOUGUE with its marina, ships, cafés, restaurants and the 'Island de Tatihou' which is accesssible on foot at low tide it is also close to Barfleur (14 km), famous village listed as the third villages pefered by French people.
Cotentin's peninsula offers 350 km of coastline: intimate coves, rock pools, high cliffs, dunes, long sandy beaches so that you will always find a sheltered spot for swimming, sun bathing, fishing, walking, exploring, bird watching...
It is close to historical sites: the 'Landing Beaches' (10 miles from Utah Beach), 'Bayeux Tapestry', (45 minutes drive), 'Mont Saint Michel' (2 hours).
Other Activities: Sand yachting, Kayaking in Quinéville and Saint Vaast la Hougue.
Golf: In Quinéville/ Fontenay, only 6km from home, there is a golf course alongside the sea front.
