Cottage La Maison Verte: 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 7

We stayed there with our whole family, as we booked both cottages so the family and children were able to go between the two and because it was very secure, they were able to roam freely and have fun!

The cottage was clean and bright and the upstairs bedrooms were very large and spacious. We didnt have very good weather for August, so a car is definately needed to get out and about. We had a powercut on one of the days that we also had a storm so it was quite exciting for the children to be sitting in candlelight listening to the rain/thunder! T
The front porch was a god send and we sat the whole family round the table for dinner and the children had the smaller table, Ideal! We played games there, great conversations and drank the very cheap wine from the supermarket - heaven!
The beaches of Le Touquet & Le Bereck were fantastic and so clean, with lots for the children to do. We did attempt Paris for the day - but it was a very long day, in total a 4 hour train journey and 60 min car ride, so we didnt really get to see too much but if you did want to go then maybe stay overnight to get the best out of the Paris sites.
The correspondence that we had with the owners was first class and they have been extremley helpful all round. It certainly isnt the place for a fun filled non stop holiday, but a more relaxing, calm and restful one!!

Only one little moan, the freestanding shower didnt drain very well and you tended to paddle whilst showering! But on the whole a little gem!

my family of four had a fantastic time at the cottage. amble of secured outside space for the kids to play. the area is very quiet and relaxing; good for walking. attractions like beaches, water park and villages are within easy reach. we even managed a day trip to EuroDisney. The property is very clean and tidy. the attic bedroom is spacious. the outside porch was perfect for evenning meals or relaxing with a glass of wine.

definitely return in the future.

We had a lovely break in the Maison Verte at October half term with our boys 13 and 11.

Thanks to the fantastic information provided by the owners about the area we were really able to make the most of the short holiday.

The cottage was just spot on, comfortable, light and bright, with views of the garden, warm (it was chilly outside) and all we needed. the boys appreciated the books, board games and the TV!

The trip to the underground town and Amiens was interesting (had lunch in the university canteen, very reasonable). The boys would go back just for Aqualud at Le Touquet, the indoor water park.
