Although this is an apartment, you are totally independent and you have the pool to yourselves, beautiful terraces to eat from and BBQ, and large private grounds with petanque court, picnic table and pool house with shower and WC next to the pool. The large lounge makes it possible to sleep 6 in comfort, with no need to take down the sofa bed every day and satellite TV and free wireless internet. Fully fitted kitchen and large terrace leading from kitchen and lounge. Stunning dining terrace below with built in BBQ, and huge dining table. Panoramic views from the upper terrace. Painter's paradise! Large private pool + Roman steps making for ease of access. The medieval town of Uzes is full of history, restaurants, cafes and interesting shops and the coast is only one hour's drive away. Easy access to the Carmargue and the wonderful towns of Avignon, Nimes, Arles and Orange are only a drive away.

UZES

Uzes is 2 minutes from the property in a car. It is well known for its Tour Fenestrelle, Cathedral Theodorit, Duche and Medieval Gardens. The pretty PLACE AUX HERBES is famous for hosting the markets on a Saturday and Wednesday and for its restaurants, bars and cafes.

PONT DU GARD

The apartment is only 15 minutes from the amazing Pont du Gard and we offer free entrance to the Pont du Gard site for the duration of your stay.

AVIGNON

Avignon is only 35 minutes from the property where you can take river trips and visit the Palais du Papes with its spectacular grounds and views over the RHONE or just take in the shops and restaurants.

NIMES

Nimes is only 30 minutes from the property where you can visit the fantastic Roman Arena, The Temple of Diana in the Jardin de la Fontein, the Maison Carree and the Tour Magne with its magnificent panoramic views.

AIGUES-MORTES

The brilliant well preserved medieval walled town of Aigues-Mortes is close to the coast and is only 50 minutes away.

Uzes is located in a prime spot in the Languedoc Roussillon area of Western Provence. It is a fascinating and beautiful Town being the first Duche in France. It is close to Avignon, Nimes, Arles, and only a drive away is the Camargue and the coast. Marseilles is only 1 1/2 hours away and you can drive to Nice in 3 hours. One of the wonders of the ancient world, The Pont du Gard is just 15 minutes from the property. Uzes has one of the best Saturday markets in Southern France, which takes over the whole of the Town and there are many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops where you can while away the time in a relaxed and happy fashion. River pursuits are 10 minutes away and there are many lovely walks. For historians, Uzes and Nimes are steeped in fascinating treasures and Orange has a Roman theatre with many spectacles throughout the Season. We are minutes away from two very large supermarkets. Local wine, honey and goats cheese are a must!! And vineyards for tours. Local walks.

We had the most wonderful holiday at La Cigale, we felt like it was our own home, and spent our days chilling by the pool. The children keep asking to go back, so we are! - Starck Family, High Wycombe

What you see is what you get and more!! The garden is flat and huge for ball games, much bigger than we had expected and the pool is brilliant. We are coming back again this year - Anderson Family, Scotland

I can't believe it's almost a week since we left you and your beautiful home! I just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you for our week with you. We really enjoyed ourselves and returned home relaxed and happy. David actually said he had felt better than he had for ages. I'd love to come back to France, I know we will, just need to find a time when we can all make it work. Can't wait to taste your fantastic cooking again too!
