2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, Sleeps a max of a family of 4.

We have had many appreciative comments from our guests, some of whom have returned again and again. The atmosphere is incomparably romantic, private and 'away from it all' yet just a few minutes' drive to beaches, markets, villages and shops.

A detached cottage unseen by others in the secluded hills behind the old and elegant seaside town and working fishing port of Bandol, located on approximately four acres of terraced slopes on a hilltop with a spectacular view of the Bay of La Ciotat, 'Port Vignoble' is beautifully restored, furnished and equipped, sleeping, ideally, anything from a couple to a family of four. Hidden by our pine woods off the country road that runs from Bandol to the ancient village, French doors open onto the large terrace in the front onto an aerial view of the Mediterranean across vineyards descending to the sea. We have two bedrooms, shower room, large kitchen-dining room, sitting room and laundry. Equally magnificent at night, it is surely 'the real Provence!

Many famous historic areas, such as Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, St Remy, Les Baux, Arles, Nimes, the Camargue, etc. are within easy reach, as is the Cote d'Azur, with St.Tropez, Cannes, Nice, St. Paul de Vence, from one to two hours' drive away. We are between the cities of Toulon (about 15 minutes' drive) and Marseille (about 25 minutes) which are both endlessly fascinating, Mediterranean cities. More immediately, we are between two of the most famous wine châteaux of Provence, where fine wines can be tasted and purchased at local prices. The towns of Bandol, Sanary-sur-Mer, La Ciotat and Cassis have wonderful restaurants as well as domains where wonderful Provençal wines can be found.

  • Please note that there is a 300 Euros/£250 refundable security deposit required on all rentals. 50% of the rental is due at the time of booking and the other 50% is due at least one month prior to the rental period. There is also, at the time of departure, a charge of 70 Euros to be left for the cleaner. The rates include all linens and utilities except telephone. For long term rentals, preferential rates can be arranged with the owner.

Sweet paradise

Such a beautiful space for a much-needed retreat.
Cozy and cute as a button. The villa is small but very adequate, clean and comfortable.
There were 3 of us and it never felt crowded.
I enjoyed cooking in the Kitchen, where I could easily find what I needed. We focused our time resting, eating on the well-equipped terrace. (The hammock was an added treat).
It felt so good to be there, most of the time; I didn't want to go on day trips with my friends.
I took a long walk from the house to the town seen from the terrace, through a beautiful countryside.
I would recommend this place to people who love nature, the charm of the South of France, who are more interested in the authenticity of the region than the commercial glitter. I felt very renewed.

Everything was perfect. I felt "like at home" as soon as I entered. The terrace and the view are amazing from the morning until the night. I strongly recommend this nice house. :)

Tranquille

I'm French living in France and never will I see the all country but just the sight from that charming terrace up in the vineyard of la-Cadière, on La Ciotat bay was enought to set my mind in peace for a moment break that I'll never forget. The villa is not huge but have all the confort needed, clean, pretty cozy, providing this feeling "tranquille" like they use to say in south of France. I m still having sweet dreams of it today and wish to be back there soon.

You can't take your eyes off the view of the bay of La Ciotat from this charming little house. You hardly want to go indoors when the terrace offers such a rewarding experience. We ate many of our meals outdoors with relish. The accommodations are charming and pleasant; comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this house. I dream about the view.

Unforgettable romantic getaway

I spent a week with my fiancee and we both had an wonderful time. We have both traveled a lot (and love our luxury rentals and resorts!) but I can honestly say this was one of the best holiday weeks we've spent. The views from the house and the large terrace are truly stunning, and sitting on the terrace eating the wonderful local foods and wines was such a pleasure. The house itself is comfortable with a modern and well equipped kitchen, and very tastefully furnished throughout in a really charming local provencal style. We had a bit of trouble starting a fire in the fireplace until I called the owner who was very helpful and talked me through it, telling me to buy the drier wood from a local market.

Visiting the local vineyards for wine tastings and tours - Domaine Ott and Chateau Pibarnon was lots of fun and again very romantic. The owners had told us about a terrific local market every Friday morning in a nearby town and we stocked up on some of the best saucisson and local artisanal cheeses to go with the wines we had acquired earlier in the trip.

We went late in the season and the rate was very reasonable. We still found it warm enough to lie out on the terrace, and eat almost every meal outside. In the evenings we heated the house with wood fires, which was lovely.

I have recommended this rental to friends in London and it's perfect for a couple or a family with a one or two children.
