The apartment is situated in the most beautiful residence in the Lavandou. It has a panoramic view of the sea and the ‘Îles d’Or’, a secured entrance (video system, electric gate and watchman), a park and a magnificent private swimming-pool. The harbour, beaches and shops are 200m away, easy access by foot. This 3 room apartment (272 sq ft) has a garage . Sunbathed terrace (270 sq ft) with furniture from Rausch, dining area for 8 people, sofas and electric roller blind. Independent entrance: separate toilets with hand basin. Lounge with dining area for 8 people, and living room equipped with wifi TV, Hi Fi, DVD. Fitted kitchen with oven, ceramic hobs, dishwasher and washing machine. Queen sized bedroom looking onto the terrace: en-suite marble bathroom and toilets, TV, fitted wardrobe. 2nd double bedroom overlooking the garden: cot, en-suite marble bathroom and toilets, fitted wardrobe. Decorated in a beautiful, modern, exotic and new style. Very comfortable.

Fabulous apartment in perfect location in Le Lavandou. The most incredible view over the town, bay, beach and coastline distance islands you could ever imagine.

200-300 metres walk to the town centre which is perfectly French with bussling restaurants and bars, great beach, small leisure harbour, various water sports, the lot.

Sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms comfortably, 6 is a push using two single settee beds which are ok for older children but not tall (6ft+) adults.

Very well equipped in every respect, including all the basics like salt, pepper, olive oil, and there was even milk in the fridge. We left some beer, gin (& tonic), creme de cassis and various other 'useful' leftovers for the next arrivals so I hope they enjoyed them!

The balcony/patio is enormous, with dining table, three sunloungers and two lounger/settees. Swimming pool is shared with other residents but they were rarely using it and never in large numbers. It's a decent size, quite cool (25C) but very refreshing!

It's not suitable if you're noisy as the other residents apparently get a bit upset if you make too much of a din. We didn't have a problem with this (and I had 5 teenagers with me) but if your children are excessively rowdy, this is not the place for you!

You are expected to have the place cleaned at the end of your stay which will be done by the concierge on your behalf for an appropriate payment.

The only negatives are that bath towels were not provided (and I'd understood they were) but this was sorted out with the (very helpful) concierge who provided me with some, and that normally only one key is provided. The key is needed to get in and out of the grounds of the property so only one key for six people creates big problems. Luckily, I pleaded with the concierge and they provided me with their key as well, but I think it would be better if one was provided with two or maybe three keys as a matter of course.

Easy to access, the Lavandou is located on the seafront along 12 sandy beaches, in the heart of the 'Green Var', in the Maures Mountains which is the second most important forest in France and near some old Mediterranean villages like Saint Tropez or Bormes les Mimosas. The city is especially attractive to Europeans who enjoy the quiet but at the same time look for cultural, sportive activities and festivities, without the noise of the larger tourist holiday destinations. A car is not necessary in the Lavandou area since all is at hand. You will find numerous stores in down town Lavandou and on the beaches as well as plenty of great and friendly restaurants with live music in the evening. The 14th of July and the 15th of August fireworks can be seen from the terrace. Ferries departing to St Tropez and the Îles d'Or.

  • The bedrooms are In-suite with excellent bedding and furnishing, both with TV and electric shutters. The bedroom 1 leads into a terrace through a picture window with an electric shutter. There is a spacious wardrobe and storage room, a TV, an exotic screen, a queen size bed, two bedside tables (from Soleïdo in St Tropez) and two original lamps, one of which is placed on a Provencal chest. The bedroom 2 looks to the East onto a small garden in bloom through a double window with electric shutter. There are two cupboards, one with a wardrobe. An Iron and ironing board are at your disposal. There is an electric double bed (140 x 200) with two remote controls with two original lamps. A cot is located in the bedroom. In the lounge, there are two comfortable single sofa beds, which can accommodate one adult each.

Notes:
The 13600 sq ft park overlooks the city, the sailing harbour and the beach (200 m away). In it you will find palm trees, yuccas, mimosas, laurels, bougainvillea, yew trees, hibiscus, eucalyptus etc., and a magnificent tiled made overflowing swimming-pool, with a jet stream, deck chairs and solarium. There is also a children pool. The house is none suitable to the disabled as all the accesses are made by stairway. The residence is very quiet and not recommended for noisy people. Barbecue is forbidden on the terraces. Possibility for a long term renters -- 3 to 4 months, ask me for price
