Luxurious & spacious villa, sunny pool, lovely lake view, south Fort Myers

Had a great week.Villa is exactly as described in a very safe gated community, with nice & friendly neighbours.
Supermarket (Sweetbay) is very close for all your grocery needs.
Miromar shopping outlets is massive and lovely and not far away for shopping.
Villa is very spacious and has everything you need, including pool toys, and appreciated the beach parasols and deck chairs for use at the beach.Beaches at Sanibel and Captiva nearby were lovely. Very nice lunch at the Key Lime Bistro with live music,on Captiva .
Had a takeaway pizza from Oliveoil's near the Sweetbay - delicious. Was even treated to some Italian sausage and bean soup wile waiting.The people were so friendly.
Have to say the villa was great and made for a very enjoyable stay.

Our first time staying in a private villa and I think we chose wisely.

The Villa
Even the beautiful photos of the villa on the website do not do justice to how lovely this villa is. It is really spacious, very clean, furnished to really high standards, with informal, formal and outside eating areas, and a really well equipped kitchen.
From the kitchen you walk through the laundry/pantry area to the garage where we found 3 bikes and lots of beach equipment and pool toys.
The master suite has twin sinks a lovely large walk in shower and separate bathtub. There is also another bathroom next to the other two bedrooms which was ideal as our party was made up of two separate families travelling together.

The villa is set in a beautiful, quiet gated residential area, the gardens and surrounding areas are kept to a very high standard. Inside the villa you will find everything you need and more, including everything you need to take for a day on the beach or an outing in the car.

The pool is brilliant especially to cool off in the Florida sunshine, or after a day exploring the Fort Myers area. It was really hot whilst we were visiting and it was great that when sitting outside you could always find some shade to relax in, and the mesh screening surrounding the pool kept out all the unwanted flying insects.

The villa is in easy reach of the local amenities with a supermarket only a short walk away. There is no shortage of restaurants and take aways to choose from, when you don’t feel like cooking in the well equipped kitchen.
We found it to be an ideal base for exploring the area, and even got as far as a day trip to Busch Gardens, although along day everyone agreed it was well worth it.
We often went on a bike ride to Lakes Park which is a short ride away, along safe paths, it was lovely riding around there early in a morning before the sun got too high. We even saw an alligator, and lots of turtles and birds along the way.

If you like shopping you won’t be disappointed with the shopping malls and the designer outlets, all only a short drive away.
We visited some lovely places, but we didn’t have enough time to see all this area of Florida has to offer, we enjoyed relaxing on the beaches and by the pool as well.
Our favorite beaches were on Sanibel which is a beautiful, unspoilt island a short drive from the villa there are some amazing beaches, restaurants and sunsets.

We would love to return to the villa still so much to see and do!! we all had a brilliant holiday.

We just returned from a 2 week family vacation at the Crawley's home. From making the reservation to our final day the whole experience was fantastic.
Sheila was helpful with advice and promptly answering questions ahead of our visit.
The location of the property is ideal for Fort Myers Beach, Naples (which we thought was stunning) and the beautiful islands of Sannibel/Captiva which are all within 30 mins drive. It's also a good base for trips further afield.
It was clean, well maintained and had all the mod-cons to make it a home-from-home. Having a young family it was great to be able to take minimal clothing but be able to do laundry when required. This is a big plus now airlines charge per bag !!
The pool is beautiful with lovely views. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing out there for us. There was an abundance of pool toys and cooler boxes etc for the beach. One observation for families with very young kids is that while the pool doors are alarmed (excellent) the pool itself does not have a fence/screen around its edge (something we've had at other Florida properties). That said, there was always one of us keeping watch anyhow so it's not a big deal.
We were sad to leave and commented that it had been one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we've ever had. We've had the privelige to be able to stay in 5-star hotels all over the Carribean / Far East and Europe but this home is one of the few places we will definitely visit again and again in the coming years.
Thank you Sheila for allowing us to use your beautiful home for a truly memorable 2 weeks. We look forward to our next visit (hopefully in the next year or two).
