Awarded 4 Stars by the English Tourist board. This peaceful cottage in the rural hamlet of Field Broughton was recently renovated as part of a barn conversion, to provide all modern conveniences, whilst preserving it's charming character. The comfortable accommodation provides ample living space for 4 people. Comprising of 2 spacious bedrooms, one double, one twin. One bathroom. Fully fitted kitchen with separate dining area. Spacious lounge with original oak beams. The cottage also boasts a private patio area, perfect for al fresco dining. All maintained by the owner to the highest standard. The property offers fabulous views of the Cartmel valley, and is central heated through out. Visitors Comments:'We wanted tranquil peace and relaxation, and this is just what we got - A lovely conversion, with all of the touches needed to make it feel like home.' Tracy - Northants.

Located in south Lakeland, this beautiful oak beamed cottage is within easy reach of the many activities on offer in the area: walking, fishing, golf, horse riding, sailing, climbing, steam train travel and scuba diving!!

2 miles away is the picturesque village of Cartmel, surrounding it’s 12th century priory. Famous for its sticky toffee pudding, the village has a variety of shops, traditional pubs and several restaurants to cater to every taste.

Other local attractions include: Holker Hall – set within stunning grounds, Lake Windermere, Reghead, Brockhole, Dalton Wild Animal Park, Grizedale Forest, and the homes of Wordsworth, Ruskin and Beatrix Potter.

A comfortable and well-equipped cottage which provides an excellent base for exploring the Lakes. Within a couple of miles of the picturesque village of Cartmel, the property is clean, and well-maintained. The owner is helpful should you have any queries or additional requests and has provided information regarding local attractions, places to eat etc. We stayed on a particularly cold weekend and the cottage was warm and cosy. Would definitely recommend.

Superb 3 days, in a very clean, well looked after property. Location is good, easy access to lakes, so peaceful at night. Enjoyed Cartmel, owners very friendly, and helpful. If you are thinking about booking here, we would recommend it, and certainly intend to return in the future.

Comfortable and cosy barn conversion

Would recomend this cottage to anyone wishing to visit the lakes.
Everything has been thought of and what's more, it all works. A friendly welcome and lots of relevant tourist info to help you make the most of your stay.

The upstairs lounge is very comfortable, and full of character, with its rustic oak beams. The private patio area was lovely for outside dining in the sunshine.

We were only there for a few days, and hope to return for a longer stay.

The area was beautiful and peaceful. The garden safe and secure.The cottage was clean and tidy.the owners were very helpful.0nly one thing let it down at that was the suite in the lounge please, please change it .every thing was of a high standerd but that. Found it uncomfortable and it spoilt a lovley cottage.

We liked the barn very much. It's in a very quiet location and very big for four persons. We were there with two kids and they loved it too. We would recommend it to anyone.
