Absolutely wonderful cottage - highly recommended!

My husband, my dog and I recently spent a week in Little Trenoweth Cottage, and we had an absolutely wonderful time.
The cottage is a brilliant size with adequate living space, kitchen and bathroom. It was very clean and tidy on arrival with no complaints found and we arrived to fresh flowers and some scrummy local biscuits which was a lovely treat. We also met Lisa (I believe the cottage owner) who was perfectly polite and efficient and very helpful on arrival.
The cottage is perfectly placed being only a 5 minute walk from the South West Coast Path and a good number of places to eat and drink. We undertook several long walks right from the front door of the cottage and were treated to perfect weather every day. The cottage has a perfectly equipped kitchen with everything a good cook would need to create a decent meal for many, and the heating system is phenomenal, if we got chilly, within 5 minutes the whole house was toasty warm. The whole time we were there, I don’t think we heard a peep from the outside world, it is so very quiet and peaceful.
The outdoor space you have access to is also fantastic as you have a garden out front and out back. In the summer I can imagine sitting in the front garden and watching the sun go down would be breath taking. We had hot water on tap, and everything in the cottage was perfectly functional throughout our week long stay.
We ate at several of the very local pub/restaurants including Housel Bay Hotel, The Witchball and The Top House, all served good food with reasonable service. The local store on the corner doesn’t have a great selection of food items, we found our essentials at the Cow Shed which is a 5 minute walk from the cottage. There are several tourist souvenir shops in town as well as a wonderful pasty shop. Within a short drive we also ate at the Mullion Cove Hotel and the Halzephron Inn both of which served very good food with good service.
If you have a car, our top recommendation for eating is The Ship Inn and Old Courthouse in Mawgan, it’s about a 20 minute drive from the cottage, but worth every minute and every mile. The 2 meals we had here were the least expensive of the trip, with by far the best menu and quality of food and the best service we’ve experienced in years.
In summary, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage and The Lizard peninsula to anyone!
Owner's Response: Thank you for such a lovely review...I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Little Trenoweth and The Lizard.

Wonderful week!

Our family had a wonderful week staying at Little Trenoweth. The cottage is absolutely charming and very well equipped. Its location is also perfect on the outskirts of the village and close to fantastic footpaths around the beautiful Lizard Peninsula.
Upon arrival there was cream team awaiting us, a treat that made us feel welcome indeed. We spent our week exploring the peninsula and some distant sights such as the Eden project and Land's End. Wherever we went, we always felt happy to return to Little Trenoweth- the cottage really turned into our home for a week.
We can really recommend Little Trenoweth and we hope to return for another week some time.

We loved it!!!

We had such a lovely stay at LIttle Trenoweth. The cottage was so well equipped and although leaving us things like a washing up brush and liquid might sound so simple, nowhere else ive stayed does it, thanks Lisa. There were numerous little touches like this that meant we could enjoy our first night sitting out in the enclosed garden overlooking the sea instead of rushing out to the shops to get the basics. LIsa also left us cream teas for when we arrived which was a wonderful welcome! The cottage itself is spotlessly clean and the beds are really comfy.... Best bit, it has a dishwasher! Who wants to spend their holiday washing up?

We had fab time with mixed weather... But even when it rained we had the picturesque cottage to come back to and warm up! It was great to be able to bring our yorkie too, she had a great holiday running on the beach and doing the coastal walks.

Little Trenoweth is a really great holiday home with the lizard centre about 30 seconds walk, spotlessly clean, fully eqipped and absolutely beautiful to look at. Who could ask for more.
Owner's Response: We endeavour to make the cottage well equipped and comfortable for our guests.

We are pleased our guests liked the unique charm of Little Trenoweth and garden and enjoyed the cottage for their holiday.

We try to make our guests as welcome as possible. The cream tea is a thank you for booking Little Trenoweth.

Forever Cornwall

It is no exageration to describe Little Trenoweth as one of the most beautiful cottages in Cornwall. The location, a mere 15 minutes walk from England's most southerly point, is certainly without equal. (Turn left along the coastal path for Cadgwith Cove or right for Kynance Cove and Mullion.) Although the Lizard is perhaps not the most convenient location for exploring Cornwall at large, it serves as the perfect base for long walks in and around this beautiful and remote peninsular, for days out on lovely uncrowded beaches, or discovering picturesque hidden villages. Lizard itself has all the required amenities such as pubs, cafes and shops selling local produce.

The cottage has everything needed for a comfortable and cosy stay and is both nicely furnished and decorated with a garden that's truly delightful especially when the plants are in bloom. When the sun is out this is a lovely place to while away the hours with a good book whilst listening to the birds singing and the bees buzzing around the herbaceous borders.

In some ways I'd rather not write a review because my wife and I have fallen head over heels for this place and would like to keep it all to ourselves, but it would be unfair to deprive others of the pleasure our visits have brought us. Once you've been here you'll want to keep coming back to this corner of a British field that shall be forever Cornwall.

Little Trenoweth is a comfortable, well furnished, delighful cottage, and if we get the chance to visit England again we will certainly stay at Little Trenoweth" again. It is convenient being centrally situated in the village. The owners were really helpful, and we enjoyed the Cornish cream tea on arrival.

The Lizard Peninsula is unique. Stunningly beautiful at any time of the year, there is nowhere quite like it anywhere else in Britain.

The rocks and cliffs of the coastline offer shelter to the tiny fishing villages huddled into their coves.

The Lizard Peninsula has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is recognised as being of international botanical importance - and here you can find 15 of Britain’s rarest plants!

The beaches in the area are simply among the finest in western Europe. A combination of crystal clear Gulf Stream waters and pale sand gives beaches a 'tropical' quality usually only glimpsed within the pages of exotic travel brochures. There are wide open beaches and sand dunes where the distance stays out of reach; intimate secluded beaches known only to a few locals; sparkling rock pools – the stuff of childhood memories. Golf courses all within driving distances

Golf: There are some lovely golf courses around the Lizard. Mullion gold course, and Praa Sands are just two. Please email if you need more info
