Apartment Luxury Two bedroom apartment on river Thames: 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6

I cannot say enough good things about the 2-bedroom apartment we stayed in when we visited London in June. Everything was exactly as described or even better. The apartment was surprisingly large and was tastefully decorated throughout. The large windows revealed stunning views of the Thames, the O2 arena, and the London skyline at night. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was plenty of room to eat, read, or just take a breather, both inside and outside on the rooftop patio.

Lana is wonderful and definitely goes the extra mile. While we were visiting, the dryer did not work and due to the Jubilee celebrations, a repairman was not available until after we left. Lana offered to pick up our clothes, dry them for us, and bring them back.

The apartment location is close to the local tube station, several grocery or convenience stores, and just a bus or tube ride away from all the tourist attractions. The apartment has the wonderful combination of being close enough to the action and at the same time far enough away that you can relax at the end of the day. We also discovered all the wonderful shopping at the Stratford mall, which is just a few stops away on the tube.

The whole family enjoyed our stay in this apartment, and we will definitely be staying at one of Alan and Lana's apartments next time we're in London.

We just finished our stay at this very conveniently located apartment. The apartment itself was clean and comfortably furnished and perfect for our family of 5. We also loved the location---public transit was easily accessible and only a short trip to downtown London. We also explored the town of Greenwich on one day of our stay and were pleasantly surprised by how much there was to see and do there, also. We would stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind paying a little bit more for a place that is CLEAN, modern and away from the hustle & bustle of London's City Centre (but not totally out of London. The Tube makes traveling a breeze.) The apartment is 10mins walk from the Tube station.

For a family of 4 adults, the apartment (2 bedroom, 1 Bath) was just nice for a short holiday, it was also very IKEA-esque. The linens were clean and there weren't any weird smell or "feeling", and it was bright and airy. The sofa bed was actually very comfy! Ended up sleeping there instead of the bed.

The apartment has a great view of the Thames and the O2. There's also a pub nearby called the Pilot Inn that serves good beers which was a welcome treat after a hard-day's worth of shopping and traveling - didn't think too much about the service though. Coupled with the constant cries of Gulls and ducks, and mild roar of airplanes (the apartment's near London City Airport), the apartment was not totally quiet but it was still peaceful. We also loved the flock of ducks flying pass our window morning and dusk.

To save money, we cooked our own dinner - the kitchen is well-equipped enough to make simple meals like salmon steak, mash and veggies, and even scones and blueberry crumble. Some of the kitchenware was broken/wonky though and the spatula still had old scrambled egg on it (washed off easily) but we made do as it's all minor issues.

Sainsbury is a short 15 mins walk towards the IMAX theater, or a 2-min bus ride for GBP1.90. Recommend that you buy an Oyster card if you're taking public transport, or if you're doing the sightseeing thing, buy the London Pass! Totally worth it as you can also take the Red River boats back to Greenwich which stops at the Naval Academy. Cabs are expensive tho - costs us GBP42 from Victoria station to Greenwich.

Lana was very helpful prior to our arrival and this was the deciding factor for me on which apartment to rent - she gave me good solid information that was useful in the planning of my holiday. Booking and paying the down-payment was straight-forward and easy, and we paid the remaining owed as cash-on-arrival to Alan (only thing missing here was a proper Receipt for Payment) who met us at the apartment. We were early but he was earlier! Glad that we didn't have to wait around with our luggage in the cold! It's very windy at the wharf.
