Our apartment is located on a beautiful, garden square in a residential area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is very quiet, yet only a 2 minutes walk to Kensington High St, with the Tube (Underground), buses, shops, restaurants and cafes.

The apartment has been recently refurbished to an American standard with air-conditioning in every room. It is modern, spacious and light and very well equipped. The kitchen has a washing machine, separate tumble dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal and all appliances. The master bedroom has an American king size bed (6' X 6'6') with ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 twin (single) beds which can be zipped together to form another king size bed if required, plus a separate bathroom.

Kensington is a district of central London, England within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. An affluent and densely-populated area, its commercial heart is Kensington High Street, and it contains the well-known museum district of South Kensington.

Kensington High Street is one of western London's most popular shopping streets, with upmarket shops serving a wealthy area. It also has Europe's largest roof garden area (1.5 acres (6,100 m2)), consisting of three different gardens with 500 species of plants, fountains, a stream, ducks, flamingos and a restaurant - said to serve the best high tea in Kensington.

My main home is on the South coast of England. This apartment is my second home which I use occasionally and make available to rent when I am not using it.

I lived in USA for 25 years so am very familiar with the standard of accommodation expected by Americans which my apartment offers. This includes air-conditioning in both bedrooms and the living room.

Perfect! Such a gem of a place! Excellent value!

We stayed here in October 2009 for a week - everything about this apartment, our stay and booking was perfect. Genuinely, there was nothing we could fault that we would book again without any hesitation. The owner was a delight to deal with when we booked the apartment - very accommodating and helpful. When we arrived at the apartment, arrangments were made for keys to be given to us by the local property manager and the apartment was immaculately clean. There were clear instructions in the apartment but nothing too formal or prescriptive that you did not automatically feel at home.

The apartment is very well furnished to an excellent standard - the layout & size of the apartment is particularly good for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment (not to be taken for granted in London esp in new developments) and the availability of WIFI broadband access is excellent. As for location, this was perfect for us and our young son - so close to High St Ken yet so private overlooking a beautiful and quiet Victorian square and church - all shops are within a few minutes walk - Boots, M&S, Tesco Metro, Wholefoods, Waitrose.and minutes from Kensington Gardens, Princess Diana Memorial Playground & museums so our son had plenty of space to run around! We brought our nanny to London with us and she had never been to London before so the location, local sights and convenience of local amenities was perfect for her! She loved it too. Thank you for making our stay in London so pleasant and welcoming! Cannot recommend this property more highly!

What a Great Experience!

We were 4 mature women off to London for a week. The flat was perfect! The accommodations were good comfortable. Everything worked except the cable TV (the manager sent someone to fix it, but the 200 regular TV channels were certainly sufficient for the few times we sat still long enough to watch). We didn't try the washer, dryer, or coffee-maker, but used everything else. Thoughtful owner provided essentials like salt, pepper, coffee, tea, and sugar, something I haven't often found in apartment accommodations. And the location was FABULOUS! Only a short block to the High Street Kensington Underground station, with buses, Kensington Palace, and plenty of grocery stores and restaurants close by. Get a transit pass at the Underground station and travel all over London practically from the doorstep of this great flat. We would definitely return and highly recommend it.

Perfect stay at a perfect location!

We just returned (family of 4) from our one week stay at this lovely Kensington flat/apartment. We did quite a bit of research to try to find the best mix of location, size, and amenities for our London visit. This flat was perfect in all respects. From our first inquiry, the responses were quick and informative. We arrived on the 26th and a greeter was there for a quick introduction on the layout and to pass along the keys. First, the location could not be better. It is in a quiet little court, yet it is only steps to a tube stop and many shops. Secondly, the two bedrooms and two baths provided plenty of space for our family. There is a comfortable living area with wonderful recliners to relax in after a long day of touring. The kitchen had everything you would need to take advantage of eating in, although the coffee pot was all that we required! The washer and dryer allowed us to do some mid-week laundry in order to pack a little lighter.......in theory. All in all, the apartment is well laid out and is in excellent condition. We would not hesitate to contact Karen or David in the future to lock in this flat for our next London adventure.

Nice Location

The flat was just as described and pictured. The building was quiet. It was wonderful being steps away from Whole Foods for grocery shopping and a number of other nice shops. The flat itself was clean inside except for a couple of small things, which he took care of right away when we mentioned it. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. We liked the apartment a lot, and would definitly stay again and would recommend to others.

Perfect location and apartment

This apartment is perfect in every way. It is exactly what you see in the photos, only a couple of minutes walk to High Street Kensington where there is some wonderful shops and supermarkets, and a couple of minutes walk to the tube station. It is located in a very quiet area and is in a fully secured building. We received wonderful customer service from the owner, Lynne and it was very easy on check-in day. We would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to London and would not hesitate to stay here again. It really is a wonderful apartment.

Home away from home

What a spacious and welcoming flat to come back to after a full day of London sight-seeing. As our base, it was convenient to so many London attractions being so close to Kensington High Street, but yet tucked away on a quiet square. A quick walk to Marks and Spencer's made it easy to pick up quality, fresh and prepared meals so we could have lots of time to relax. We appreciated having all the comforts of home (very well-equipped and clean) as well as the lovely comfortable beds. We had good, clear communication with the owners and I would highly recommend this flat.

The wonderful sites of London are within easy access as we are so central. Hyde Park and Kensington gardens are a ten-minute walk in one direction. Holland Park is a ten-minute walk in the other direction. We are within a short distance of the Royal Albert Hall, the museums and Harrods. High Street Kensington Tube Station (Underground / Subway) is two minutes walk away. The theatre district is just a short hop away. There are 2 gyms within 5 minutes walk. One of which has a swimming pool and both welcome short term members.

From Heathrow you can take the Heathrow express to Paddington and then tube or taxi - or we would be happy to arrange a taxi pick-up for you with our own driver.
