Paphos: Paphos is the perfect place to combine first class holidays with a walk through history. Immerse yourself in the archaeology, history and culture of Pafos and experience at first hand one of the oldest civilisations of the world.

Pafos became the capital of Cyprus under the successors of Alexander the Great - the Ptolemies and in those days its harbour was a busy, thriving port. It continued as the island's first city for more than seven centuries, retaining its importance under Roman rule . Its most famous Governor, Sergius Paulus, was converted to Christianity by St Paul in 45 AD. But Pafos history dates back a great deal further. In fact the whole area abounds in historical and archaeological treasure.

Capital of the west and positively teaming with history is Pafos, site of the island's second international airport. The resort town has as its focal point a charming fishing harbour near Pafos Fort, lined with open-air cafés and taverns that serve a tempting menu.

About Peyia: Peyia is situated about 15km away from Paphos Town and 3km away from Coral Bay. Peyia is a very much sought after location and is set in the hills behind the very popular Coral Bay. Although the village offers a few restaurants and bars, banks and supermarkets, it has not been totally invaded by tourism.

Peyia’s steep position guarantees fantastic views of Coral Bay and surrounding areas from almost wherever you happen to be. Ayios Georgios Basilica and the fountains of Peyia. 4.5km from the village, are the ruins of two early Christian basilicas with mosaic floors. Peyia village is famous for its fountains in the stone-paved village square. Peyia is well situated for exploring the western side of Cyprus. It offers easy access to the Akamas peninsula, with its spectacular landscapes, deserted sandy beaches and conservation projects. To the north of Peyia, many roads meander through the hills and then down to Polis and Latchi.

Coral Bay: 11 kilometres (15 minutes drive) to the north of Paphos and 3 kilometres below the friendly, hillside village of Peyia is Coral Bay, the best natural beach in the area. This is an established resort above a wide curve of golden sand. The summer heat is often tempered by a gentle breeze, the sea has a shallow margin where children may play safely and, in the busier months, water sports on offer include pedaloes, water skiing, banana boats, wet bikes and windsurfing.

Close by the Bay you will find four large hotels, banks, car hire firms, mini markets for provisions and souvenirs, bars, restaurants and other shops. For casual alfresco meals, a couple of bars/snack bars overlooking the sea and a large restaurant in the next bay are open during the day. More tavernas and local shops are a short drive away.

An idyllic holiday in Peyia, Cyprus

After driving in the dark from Paphos we were met by Max at the Eko Garage and followed him to the most super apartment in Peyia for our two week stay. Max was great took us through all the facilities and helped us put the air conditioning on. He was very helpful. Although dark the apartment came to life when the lights went on it was spacious, clean and beautifully kept - just our type of place to stay a real home from home.
After a good nights sleep we woke to the sound of bells ringing the goats were on the move! To be fair this is pretty much the only sound you will hear during your stay it is so peaceful and blissfully quiet you can completely re-charge your batteries here!
The apartment had all the niceties of home, lots of plastic containers to put rolls in for the beach a super ice bag and ice packs a great fridge freezer which meant you could make and store your ice cubes - essential after a day at the beach when you want a long cold drink to quench your thirst. The kitchen has everything you need. The apartment is so well looked after. The balcony is a lovely place to have your breakfast and then in the evening to sit and listen to the insects and the final move of the goats going home to bed after a long day tramping and foraging around the hills - just amazing.
The Peyia village is lovely very quaint and has all you need. There are some great places to eat in Peyia and just a short drive down the hill you are in Coral Bay itself. We loved the large cod and chips from Howard at the Peyia Fish and Chip shop they were delicious. A real find is the Indian Take Away the Peshwari Naan Bread is out of this world. At Pizza Hut the Vanilla Milkshake is a must! English Breakfast in Coral Bay opposite Othello's is super 7 euros.
The pool is lovely it does get exceptionally hot but you can soon cool down in the pool. The hot tub is great to jump into after a long day in the sun and you want to just laze around, until you decide to go and eat such a treat.
We so enjoyed our stay we are booking again for 2014 we loved every moment we were there and the apartment was very special and so very well equipped. A great place to stay thoroughly recommended. Thank you to the Solomons for a wonderful two weeks recharging our batteries and enjoying the very peaceful and beautiful natural beauty which surrounds the complex - simply stunning book your flights now! If you want complete peace and tranquility this is the holiday for you.

Amazing views, apartment had everything we needed

Description is accurate but apartment is bigger than the photos suggest. We met the property manager at the garage in the village and we followed him to the apartment. When we got there, he showed us how everything worked and had bought us a welcome pack. He left us his contact details incase we needed any help during our stay. Max is very friendly and helpful. After a late flight, we got to bed. The next day we were amazed by the incredible view of the hills. The apartment was spotlessly clean and maintained to an excellent standard.
While on holiday, we enjoyed boat trips, hired quad bikes, spent days at various beaches, lounged around the pool (often we were the only people in it). We used the owners inflatable pool toys, squash racquets, pool loungers and cool box. We went to the Last Castle restaurant which was very good - more fantastic views. We had good communication with the owners who refunded our security deposit almost immediately we got home. We hope to visit again and would recommend this apartment to friends and relatives.

Look No Further!

This apartment is fantastic value for money. It is immaculately clean and comfortably, tastefully furnished. It benefits from air-con, which is essential and the chilled water dispenser is a welcome feature.There are two bathrooms, one with bath and the other with a shower. We liked the fact that it was away from the main strips in Paphos and Coral Bay but is only a 20 minute drive to the sea. The view from the balcony is a definite wow factor. The pool and surrounding area are similarly well looked after and to have exclusive use of the owner's sun loungers, pool toys, towels and insulated picnic bag/cool blocks was a real bonus. We did not use any of the other amenities on offer (sports facilities, bowling green, hot tub (in that heat?!) etc..) as we spent so much time driving around the island and taking advantage of the fabulous restaurants and quieter beaches. The communication between the owner, the property manager and ourselves was fantastic from making the initial booking to returning our deposit. Although the sun is only directly on the balcony until late morning, there are plenty of other private areas around the apartment and around the pool where we could catch the sun later in the day. There is no barbecue at the property, but we used an area of hard standing to the side of the apartment where we lit a disposable BBQ one evening which worked out ok. We would highly recommend this apartment for couples, families or groups of friends.

Fantastic month in Peyia

We stayed for almost all of the month of March. It was lovely to enjoy warm weather and sunshine rather than the snow that fell in most of the UK. The apartment was spotlessly clean, well furnished and very comfortable. The property managers were helpful and reliable. We enjoyed the peaceful complex and have good memories of sitting on the balcony, enjoying the sun listening to the goat bells. We also enjoyed the bowling green. After arriving home, our security deposit was quickly received. We would recommend this apartment to family and friends.

In Peyia village there are banks, bakeries, shops, supermarkets and several tavernas. Peyia is only a 5 minute drive to beautiful Coral Bay with its extensive facilities and glorious beaches. Peyia is a small traditional village overlooking Coral Bay and the coastline. Paphos harbour and town, including it's popular water park, can be easily reached within 20 minutes drive. Further North lie the exclusive areas of Polis and Latchi, where a more restful pace of life can be found (around 30 minutes drive). A car is essential to fully access the amenities of this area. Contact us if you require details of car hire companies operating at the airport. Winter holidays in Cyprus are popular: November temperatures average at around 25 degrees with December averaging around 20 degrees.

Other Activities: Go-karting, archaeological sites nearby, Akamas Nature Reserve, Lara Bay (famous for it's turtles), Baths of Aphrodite.

Golf: Paphos is the new jewel in the crown for golf. It offers golfers challenging world class champion course, warm hospitality and almost all year round sunshine. There are three 18-hole courses to choose from:

Tsada Golf Club is approximately 25 mins away and is on an elevated position 550 metres above sea level to ensure cool breezes during the summer months. It plays to a par of 72 and measures 6,060 metres.

Secret Valley Golf Club is 18 km east of Paphos and lies within a scenic valley offering panoramic views. It plays to a par of 72 and measures 6,020 metres.

Aphrodite Hills Golf Club is 17 km east of Paphos. It's a championship standard course, plays to a par of 70/71 and measures 6,232 metres.

    Prices are based on up to 4 people sharing. Up to 2 extra people can be accommodated on the sofa bed at a cost of £25 per week each..
    Our apartment is a real home from home and includes many thoughtful extras such as a safe, selection of DVDs and books, a hair-drier, water cooler & cool bag plus ice mats for the perfect picnic on the beach. All furnishings have been carefully co-ordinate to create a cool, calm ambience in which to unwind. We include a basic welcome pack. Squash racquets and balls and two sets of 4 bowls are also provided for your enjoyment. The sauna and squash court are accessed via a door code supplied to you upon arrival. Wifi is available (free) upon request.
    Please note rentals longer than two weeks, including winter rentals, are available with a substantial discount. Please ask.
  • Air-conditioning.
    Due to the high price of electricity, and to keep the costs as low as possible for those who do not wish to use it, we have a separate charge of 3 euros per day for each air-conditioning unit required. This is payable to our agents upon arrival. Each bedroom has a unit and there is one in the living area too. It is worth noting that we have flyscreens fitted to most windows. Therefore, you can enjoy the mountain breeze without the insects. Airconditioning may not be necessary except in peak summer months (June - September).
  • A fully refundable security deposit of £150 is required on all bookings. This will be refunded within 10 days of the end of your stay, subject to property inspection.
    You may pay the full rental upon arrival, in sterling or euros. However, cancellations within 12 weeks will incur a 50% cancellation charge and cancellation within 8 weeks will incur 100% cancellation charge. We will endeavour to relet the cancelled weeks and if successful, there will be no charge.
    We can accept payment via cheque, bank transfer or credit/debit card through paypal (sender will be required to pay paypal fees)

  • Both rooms are fully tiled. The shower room is furnished with a walk in shower rather than a regular enclosure.. This provides for ample showering space. Luxury Egyptian cotton towels are provided along with beach/pool towels. Bathmats are also supplied. Having two bathrooms offers a greater degree of privacy for two couples sharing or for a family group. It is also much more convenient when sharing with children or teenagers!

There is also an oak dressing table with a mirror above. A sofa bed in the lounge, complete with luxury memo flex mattress, accommodates up to two people. We have two sets of bowls and a jack along with squash racquets and balls for guests to use.

Our British property managers will meet you once you have collected your car from the airport. You can follow them up to Peyia where they will show you around the apartment and provide you with useful local information. In addition, you will be provided with a 24 hr contact number for any assistance you may require during your holiday. A welcome pack is included in the rental. A water cooler, along with a full refill, is also provided. If you wish for an extensive grocery pack, then please contact us. We will arrange for our property management company to organise this before you arrive. They also provide very competitive rates for hiring baby equipment. Do remember that bath and hand towels are provided. We also provide beach towels. This means that you do not have to pack these bulky items. No extra charges for pre-arrival or end of rental cleaning - this is all included. Please note, although the apartment is ground floor, it is accessed by 5 steps.
