Apartment was fairly basic and over priced. Would have benefitted from air conditioning .Very disappointed that the apartment was not cleaned at anytime during our 3 week stay,first time in 12 years holidaying to teneife that our apt did not have cleaner, although linen was changed once a week. Be prepared to buy plenty ant repellant as the apt seems to have a more than its normal share share of ants (our son and daughter had their own apts a few doors along and did not have any)On the plus side the american fridge/freezer was great!!! ps neighbour directly above waters his plants on a dailly basis every time you sit down to lunch on the terrace !!!!!!
Owner's Response: I am very sorry to hear about the above review & also very surprised as we have had nothing but praise about our newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment which, I can honestly say, I find hard to believe how anyone can call it basic with a brand new high tech. kitchen in it, with all the equipment you could wish for on holiday including the American fridge /freezer with ice maker as mentioned above! Also I would hardly say that the brand new leather sofa was basic nor the beautiful marble en suites – one which includes a bath as well as a walk in shower enclosure!
Unfortunately air conditioning on this complex is out of our control as the owners of the complex do not wish to have unsightly a/c units all over the place, therefore this is the reason why we have put efficient electric ceiling fans in each room!
The cleaners do go in & change linen & should do a basic clean around although they do not like disturbing any items belonging to the visitors. This is being looked into & we do apologize if this service was unsatisfactory.
We also apologize about the ant situation which does seem to have created a slight problem this year. I believe from other owners that this is an unusual situation & is not just the case with our properties but is quite widespread on the Island this summer.
Although we employ a regular service to eradicate such insect problems, we do strongly suggest that all food should be tidied away & remaining food (e.g. cereals, biscuits, etc. & also fruit which particularly is attractive, as is anything sweet) put in airtight containers or tightly tied up in carrier bags or in the fridge.We find if there is no food lying about, there should be little problem with any ants, etc.
Apologies too for our unknown green fingered neighbour who, obviously, is also out of our control!
