The coldest time of the year is January and December when the average temperature is 45 degrees Fahrenheit. January is also the wettest month with 3.7 inches of rainfall on average. June through to August sees very little rainfall with an average of just 0.1 inches each month.
Redding Municipal Airport is just 10 minute’s drive from Shasta Cascade and has flights to and from San Francisco (SFO) with SkyWest Airlines. Avis, Budget and Enterprise are car rental firms represented at the airport. Visitors can fly to San Francisco and get a connecting flight to Redding. Flights arrive at San Francisco from Amsterdam (AMS), Beijing-Capital (PEK), Frankfurt (FRA), London-Heathrow (LHW), New York (JFK), Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Tokyo-Narita (NRT) and Toronto-Pearson (YYZ) amongst other places.
